How a drywall repair goes
A note on water damage. If a wall or ceiling is being damaged by an active leak, the leak has to be fixed first, otherwise the new patch fails the same way the old drywall did. We use thermal imaging to help locate air and water leaks as part of our home maintenance work across Northwest Arkansas, so if you are not sure where the water is coming from, that is a good place to start.

Can you match my wall texture?
Yes. Texture blending is part of every repair. Orange peel, knockdown, and smooth finishes can all be blended so the patch reads as part of the wall. Some textures take extra passes to get right, and that gets factored in when the repair is scoped.
How big a hole can be patched?
Most holes can be patched, from small fastener marks up to large impact damage, using backing and a new piece of drywall. When a section is too far gone to patch cleanly, replacing part of the sheet is usually the better repair, and we will tell you which approach your wall needs before the work starts.
Do you repair ceilings?
Yes. Ceiling patches are a regular part of our drywall work, including sections damaged by past leaks. The leak itself has to be fixed before the ceiling is patched, otherwise the new drywall ends up with the same water damage as the old.
How long does a typical drywall repair take?
It depends on the size of the repair and how many coats of joint compound the patch needs, since each coat has to dry before the next one goes on. Timing is discussed when the work is scheduled so you know what to expect for your specific repair.
Do you paint the repaired area?
Repairs are left sanded, blended, and ready for paint. Whether we handle the painting is discussed per job. Some homeowners prefer to roll the paint themselves, others want the patch painted before we pack up. Either option works.
